How can I customize my specific site requirements using the software?
The software empowers businesses to define their unique site requirements. Whether it's the need for a drive-through, desired acreage, parking spaces, building square footage, or specific traffic counts, you can tailor the software to match your expansion goals. This information is all found under the "Tenant Approvals and Preferences" tab accessible through the toolbar on the right side of the screen.
What file types are accepted?
CoLo accepts .kmz (Google Earth), .kml (Google Maps), and CSV (See examples). You can use polygons or points in your .kmz, .kml files. When you use points, they will be converted to circles upon upload using the specified radius (defaults to 1 mile).
How can I draw a custom polygon on the map?
Click the polygon icon on the left side of the application. Then, click to place a point. Keep placing points until your polygon is complete. To finish drawing and save your work, close the polygon, or click "Finish" located next to the polygon icon.
How do I insert trade areas for a new tenant?
Click the "Tenant Approvals and Preferences" icon on the right toolbar. Select your tenant from the list. Then, click the checkbox indicating that you are actually representing the tenant ("I am licensed and authorized by the tenant above to represent them"). After this, you will be able to select the tenant from the dropdown at the top of the screen and under the "Filter Areas/Matches" icon. Once selected, when you draw/upload trade areas, they will be associated with that tenant. After a brief review, CoLo will enable matching services for that tenant.
How do I switch between approved tenants?
Using the dropdown on the top of the screen, select the desired tenant. If your desired tenant is not listed, refer to the question above on how to add them to the list.
How do I show sites for multiple tenants?
Click the "Filter Areas/Matches" icon. From the tenant dropdown list, select which tenants you would like to see on the map. If none are selected, all tenants will be visible. Unless "Hide Matches" is checked, trade areas matching with the selected tenants will also be displayed. The most recently selected tenant will be bolded and reflected in the dropdown at the top right of the screen. This tenant will be the one assigned to newly created trade areas.
How do I upload multiple sites at once?
Navigate to the right toolbar and click the "Bulk Upload" icon. From there, select the file you wish to upload. Once you upload the file, it will begin processing and gradually appear on the map.
When and how is payment due?
CoLo charges a one time registration fee of $25. Then, upon the expiration of the first year, or when the first match is created, users will be charged the remaining $475 of their $500 annual user license fee.
How do I change my view from Map to Satellite view?
Click the layer button on the left side of the screen to toggle back and forth.
How do I delete a trade area that I created?
Click the trash can icon on the left side of the screen, then click the trade areas you want to delete. After you're done, click "Finish" to save your changes.
How are my Matches revealed?
At first, matches will be revealed generically in order to protect privacy. A retail category will be revealed, but not the name of a specific retailer. You will be able to see where your match overlaps geographically, but will not be able to see the actual identity of the match until a CoLo representative or a CoLo approved developer reaches out to you.
Will my information be available to competitors?
In order to keep competitors from viewing your information, simply list them (or the category they are a part of) as a competitor in the preferences tab. CoLo was designed to keep competitors from viewing one another's information.
